Sindicatos africanos exigen participar en Tratado de Libre Comercio 27 May, 2019No se permite la participación de los sindicatos en las negociaciones sobre el Tratado Continental Africano de Libre Comercio (AfCFTA) debido al enfoque acelerado que utilizan los gobiernos. Los sindicatos exigen que el AfCFTA respete los derechos de los trabajadores/as y las normas laborales tales como figuran en las leyes nacionales y en los convenios de la Organización Internacional del Trabajo. El tratado en cuestión también debería abarcar el programa de trabajo decente y respetar los derechos humanos que se establecen en la Carta Africana de Derechos Humanos y de los Pueblos.
