IndustriALL and IUF join BWI and demand a “Red Card” for FIFA13 June, 2014As the world geared up for the start of the FIFA World Cup in Brazil, IndustriALL Global Union joined global federations IUF and BWI in a protest action at the International Labour Conference (ILC) in Geneva, which ran from 28 May to 12 June.

FUP Women’s Network at Petrobras meets in Salvador 2 May, 2014The Brazilian oil workers’ union FUP has a women’s network and collective at Petrobras. On 25 – 27 April they met for the second time in Salvador. The meeting was held against the background of right wing attacks against the national oil company Petrobras, attacks which are multiplying in the election year. The conference was attended by around 60 women.

Historic victory for CUT metalworkers in Brazil23 April, 2014The CNM/CUT, an affiliate of IndustriALL Global Union, has signed a unique agreement on profit sharing with ThyssenKrupp Elevadores. The company will pay a profit sharing bonus to 2,000 members of 27 metalworkers’ unions affiliated to the CUT in nine states. This is the first such national company agreement to apply only to members of unions affiliated to the same Brazilian trade union central.
