Women form a subregional network to promote ratification of ILO Convention 183

16 September, 2014IndustriALL Global Union organized a subregional workshop on maternity protection in Manila, Philippines on 11 and 12 September 2014. The workshop was attended by some 30 women from the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Cambodia. The point was to find common ground to pursue the ratification of ILO Convention 183 on maternity protection in the different countries. Ultimately the women created a network and vowed to keep pushing for ratification.

16 September, 2014IndustriALL Global Union a organisé un atelier sous-régional sur la protection de la maternité à Manille, aux Philippines, les 11 et 12 septembre derniers. L’atelier a vu la présence de quelque trente femmes travailleuses en provenance des Philippines, de Malaisie, d’Indonésie, de Thaïlande et du Cambodge. L’objectif était de trouver une ligne commune pour favoriser la ratification de la Convention 183 de l’OIT sur la protection de la maternité au sein de ces différents pays. Finalement, les femmes travailleuses ont mis sur pied un réseau et se sont engagées à poursuivre leurs efforts en vue de la ratification.

16 September, 201411-12 сентября 2014 года в Маниле, Филиппины, состоялся организованный Глобальным союзом IndustriALL субрегиональный семинар по охране материнства. В семинаре приняли участие около 30 женщин из Филиппин, Малайзии, Индонезии, Таиланда и Камбоджи. Задача мероприятия состояла в том, чтобы выработать общую позицию по вопросу ратификации в разных странах Конвенции МОТ № 183 об охране материнства. В итоге женщины создали сеть и пообещали и впредь предпринимать усилия, чтобы добиться ратификации Конвенции.
