Para llegar a este recinto minero, los sindicalistas señalados, saliendo de Maseru, debieron viajar más de 190 km, por sinuosos senderos de grava, atravesando un caudaloso río antes de llegar a la mina, ubicada en la aldea de Kao, en el distrito Butha-Buthe de Lesoto.
