The garment industry employs 600,000 workers in Cambodia. As part of its global action towards living wages in the sector, IndustriALL is working with its eight Cambodian affiliates to push for higher wages.

There is a high number of women workers in all of the countries, especially in the textile, garment, shoe and leather, and electronics industries.

Cambodian unions consider strike action9 October, 2015Independent garment unions in Cambodia will meet on 12 October to consider strike action after being let down by minimum wage negotiations which settled on US$140 a month for 2016.
